Whatsapp is rolling out a major update. Whatsapp is now bringing Text formatting in messages. Now you can use Bold, Itallic, Strikethrough, Bold with Italic, Bold with Strikethrough and Italic with Strikethrough. Now you can use these formatting in messages. Previously we had posted Whatsapp will Launch Video Calling. This is another update of whatsapp.
This is another update in whatsapp but this version of whatsapp is not in play store. This version is in testing purpose so far this is with testers only. The base version is 2.16.7. You can download this version of whatsapp from Metro Tricks. This apk is for android users only. Whatsapp for IOS is not available till now. We can expect the release only this is fully tested. Text Formatting In Whatsapp
As described above about the Whatsapp update on Text Formatting. Let us see how to use text formatting on its latest version
By using text formatting we can write in Bold Italic Strikethrough and combination of these. Use the below instruction to use these formats in whatsapp
Note:- Text formatting will only work in whatsapp base version 2.16.7 downloaded from here. This vesion s under testing. You will not get this version on playstore
If you want to type in bold you need to add the Asterisk Symbol (*) before and after the word you want to write in Bold.
Example: To write ‘Metrotricks’ in Bold just add ‘*’ without quotes before and after Hello.
*Metrotricks* —> Metrotricks
Similarly for Italic add underscore ‘_’ without quotes on either side of the word.
_Metrotricks_ —> Metrotricks
And to strikethrough something, add a tilde ‘~’ without quotes to either side of the word:
~Metrotricks~ —-> Metrotricks
You can also try the below combinations also:
Bold with Italic:
_*Metrotricks*_ —> MetroTricks
Bold with Strikethrough:
~*Metrotricks*~ —> Metrotricks
Italic with Strikethrough:
~_Metrotricks_~ —> Metrotricks
